Zanesville author Ahnzerah Hawke releases new book, 'The Bridge Between Two Rivers'

ZANESVILLE — Author Hawke Smith of Zanesville, who writer under the name Ahnzerah Hawke, has released a new book with the iconic Y Bridge as its cover.

"The Bridge Between Two Rivers" is Hawke's second book in the "Ghosts Never Die" series. The first was "29 Palms." The next installment will be "The Man in the Hat."

The new book is about how darkness plays a vital role in the grand tapestry of life, according to a press release.

"Without villains, there wouldn't be any heroes," Hawke said in the release. "Light and darkness define each other. It is the friction between the two that makes the world turn."Hawke said he draws inspiration from his surroundings with the Y Bridge serving as a potent symbol in his work, representing the crucial junctures we all face in life.

"The Y Bridge isn't about which direction you choose," Hawke said in the release. "It's about the fact that there's always a decision to be made, a path less traveled waiting to be explored."

The new story is set 10 years before that in "29 Palms" and has the main character of the Wanderer meeting the voice he hears form the shadows, the Man in the Hat. Upon the Wanderer's return to the Y Bridge City, he seeks a conference with his darker half to settle things between the two of them once and for all, but the friction persists.Hawke is the founder of Vikare Publishing, which publishes his works. "The Bridge Between Two Rivers" is available as an e-book for $4.44 and as a paperback through Barnes & Noble for $19.99. It's 446 pages.
