Zach Bryan releases new single 'Pink Skies,' announces new album dropping 'any day now'

Zach Bryan's 2024 hasn't stopped surging, like his work over the past two years, fueled by streaming success and live tours.

That continues via his latest single release, "Pink Skies."

It's a Midwestern ode to the passing of a family patriarch, awash in harmonicas, acoustic guitars and a gently driving beat.

It's part of what the "I Remember Everything" vocalist revealed in a series of posts on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, is "The Great American Bar Scene," a forthcoming 17-track album that he's "proud" of recording.

That 1970s-era bar scene of which he's speaking is familiar to Dewey, Oklahoma, which is located 30 miles north of his Oologah roots.

"(I) write and record music reckless and fast. Just got the record finished, so it'll be dropped on someone's head any day now. I truly want to just say thank you for being so kind and patient, I'm really freaking grateful lately," Bryan continued.

The 2024 Grammy-winning artist is currently touring North American venues nationwide, including three nights at Los Angeles' Crypto.com Arena and two nights at the Barclays Center in New York.

Among his tour dates is one night at Music City's Nissan Stadium on Saturday, June 29, 2024. The Oologah, Okla. native will feature Turnpike Troubadours and Levi Turner as openers.

His Grammy-winning single "I Remember Everything," featuring Kacey Musgraves, made history by being the first song to top the Billboard Hot 100, Hot Country Songs, Hot Rock Songs, and Hot Rock and Alternative Songs charts simultaneously,

Bryan's latest release comes two years after his breakout album "American Heartbreak."

The 34-track, quadruple-platinum-equivalent selling record contains the longest Billboard Hot 100 charting country single of all-time for a male artist, "Something in the Orange." The song has succeeded like Carrie Underwood's 2007 classic "Before He Cheats" and Leann Rimes' hit from a decade prior, "How Do I Live?"

His notes about his process back then mirror his work at present:

"I've got no grand explanation for these songs, I got no riddle in the reasoning behind writing them, I don't have a ... roll-out plan to stuff it in front of as many people as I can," Bryan said.

"I just wrote some poems and songs I want to share because I think they're special. Some are heavy, some are hopeful, but more than anything, what's most important to me is that they're all mine. If people listen to it, I'll be grateful; if people don't, I'll still be grateful because I got the chance in this life to be original when it mattered."
