Yuengling is coming to Missouri and Kansas. When can you get the fan-favorite beer?

Yuengling

Self-proclaimed as “America’s oldest brewery,” Yuengling is finally coming to Missouri and Kansas.

The Pennsylvania-based brewery with a legion of fans throughout the country announced plans on Wednesday, Oct. 12, to begin selling its beer in the Midwest. Yuengling said its products will be available in Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma in “early 2023.”

“These states are home to passionate fans, loyal beer drinkers and great partners,” said Wendy Yuengling, the chief administrative officer of the family-owned business. “And we’re looking forward to bringing the goods to fans across these states.”

So what’s the big deal about Yuengling? Established in 1829, the brewery has maintained a vast following into the 21st century. The Brewers Association rated it the No. 1 craft brewery in the United States in its most recent rankings released in April.

But until recently, it was mostly sold along the East Coast. Yuengling added Arkansas as a distribution state in 2018, and Texas became its western-most state in 2021.

“My all time favorite beer!!” one Twitter user said Wednesday. “I always bring a case home to Missouri when I visit family in Mississippi where I grew up so this is incredibly exciting and unexpected! Thank you so much!”

“As a born and raised Pennsylvanian living in KC this makes me so happy!! Thank you!!!” another fan of Yuengling said on Twitter. “Been wanting this for years!!!”

Yuengling’s most popular beers include its Traditional Lager, Light Lager and Black & Tan. It also sells a seasonal Hershey’s Chocolate Porter.
