Young mom, three others killed in Chicago shooting after argument

A young mom was among those killed in a shooting at a Chicago home following an argument.

Witnesses heard gunshots at the home in Englewood, on the city’s south side, around 2 a.m. Tuesday and again around 5:30 a.m. Police arrived at the house and found four people, three women and one man, dead at the scene, according to Block Club Chicago.

Shermetria Williams, 19, one of the victims, had gone to the house to attend a party, her family said.

Williams, who had a 2-year-old daughter, was set to graduate from Country Club Hills Tech and Trade Center on Tuesday morning.

Several relatives told Block Club they were getting ready for the ceremony when they received calls about Williams’ death.

Four others were hospitalized in the shooting, including a 41-year-old man and a 25-year-old man who both suffered gunshot wounds to the head, but their conditions are unkown. Another woman and man are reportedly in critical condition.

Chicago Police said no arrests had been made and they were still trying to determine a cause for the shooting.
