York woman dies nearly a month after head-on crash in West Manchester Township: coroner

A 72-year-old York woman died at WellSpan York Hospital on Thursday from injuries she suffered in a head-on crash nearly a month ago, according to the York County Coroner's Office.

Nancy Hoover of the 600 block of West College Avenue died of multiple blunt force trauma, the release states. The death is accidental.

Hoover was injured in a two-vehicle crash around 10:56 a.m. March 27 in the 1900 block of Carlisle Road in West Manchester Township, the release states.

Her vehicle was hit head on when another automobile crossed the double yellow line, the coroner's office said. She was wearing a seatbelt.

Hoover was taken to WellSpan York Hospital for treatment. She succumbed to her injuries at 7:15 a.m. Thursday, April 25 — 29 days after the wreck, the release states.

West Manchester Township Police are investigating.

An autopsy will not be done, the release states.
