Yardley featured in HGTV's House Hunters. What to know about the show and how to watch it
What do Bucks County and the Jersey shore have in common?
“Not much,” said Andrew Jacobs, a local real estate agent who appeared on a recent episode of HGTV’s House Hunters featuring homes in Yardley and the beach town of Forked River, New Jersey.
Working with Brian Sanders and Hilary Levine, Jacobs helps the married couple in their move across the country from Laguna Beach, California, to the East Coast where they can raise their daughter closer to family.
The journey brought them to Pennsylvania and New Jersey, in hopes of finding a place that met the couple’s different ideas of the perfect home — Hillary wanted a larger house in the suburbs, while Brian hoped for a shore house to replace the beach life they left behind.
“As a real estate agent, we have to pull from many different visions and try to find one cohesive one,” Jacobs said. “The California feel was very important to (Brian), so every property we looked at had water around it.”
Sanders said Jacobs made the entire experience a very positive one for their family.
“He didn’t want to just sell you a house, you felt like he had your best interests at heart,” Sanders said.
What it's like to be on HGTV's House Hunters
While neither could discuss behind the scenes details, Jacobs and Sanders said they loved being a part of the show.
“When Hilary applied to be on the show, it was really on a whim,” Sanders said. “It was fun to be able to explore things and to capture those memories on camera.”

Jacobs also called the experience fun and unique.
“I’m definitely not used to having cameras following me around on my showings. I enjoyed every minute of it. It was so cool to be on national TV while I worked,” he said.
