The Terrace offers dining options for dogs

If you're traveling with your dog, the Spartanburg Marriott, 299 N. Church St., is more than pet-friendly. One of the hotel's restaurants, The Terrace, offers outside seating, fire pits, and a relaxing evening.

The Terrace also offers a pet-friendly dining menu. The menu includes cooked salmon, hamburger patties, boiled sweet potatoes, peas, and even desserts made with peanut butter puree and seasonal fruits that are entirely safe for your dog to consume.

Trang Pitts, executive chef at Spartanburg Marriott, said The Bark menu offers pets a delicious and nutritious meal while reducing kitchen waste.

"I have dogs at home and we make their own dog food, it's much better and you know what you're feeding your dog," Pitts said. "It minimizes kitchen waste, too. When we're cutting our salmon fillets, we cut off the tailpiece and can utilize that for the dogs."
