Xul Beer Company is expanding with a more traditional brewery called Passenger

Need a break from the cult favorite PB&J Mixtape? Xul Beer Company's newest expansion might be the traditional beer you crave.

Xul Beer Company announced a new addition called Passenger. The brewery's owners purchased the equipment and adjacent space to its Fifth Avenue taproom from Geezers Brewery when it closed in June 2023.

Xul, known for its experimental brews, has used the space for private events but will now convert it into a separate arm of the brewery. Passenger will be a "different playground" for the brewers by focusing on "Old World lagers and more traditional ales" with warmer finishes under a different brand.

The space isn't ready yet. A May 23 announcement said the Passenger space is still months from opening, but Passenger beers will be released in the meantime.
