Xavier Worthy 40 time: Where is Texas receiver projected to be taken in 2024 NFL Draft?

Former Texas football receiver Xavier Worthy mightily improved his NFL draft stock at the scouting combine, breaking the event record for the 40-yard dash previously held by former Washington receiver John Ross III.

Worthy, a junior last season, will be a popular selection for teams prioritizing blazing speed. The Longhorns pass catcher was also productive in his three seasons, finishing his college career with 2,755 receiving yards with 26 touchdowns.

Xavier Worthy 40 time

Former Texas receiver Xavier Worthy now holds the fastest 40-yard dash in NFL combine history after running the event in 4.21 seconds on March 2.

Worthy's mark broke the previous record set by Washington's John Ross, who ran a 4.22-second 40-yard dash in 2017 and was later drafted ninth overall by Cincinnati. Ross has since retired from football.
