X-Ray Results Are In For Christian McCaffrey’s Ankle
Christian McCaffrey appears to have avoided suffering a major injury on Sunday. The Panthers star running back left the game in a walking boot but according to Matt Rhule, X-rays on McCaffrey’s ankle came back negative.
C-Mac will undergo more testing on the ankle Monday to give the team a better picture of his status going forward.

Right now it looks like the All-Pro RB is dealing with an ankle sprain. McCaffrey played just 20 snaps in the 33-10 loss to the Dolphins Sunday.
Carolina has a bye after this week, so that gives McCaffrey a couple weeks to heal before a division matchup against the Falcons in Week 14.
Once remarkably durable, the injuries are starting to pile up for the Panthers’ Pro Bowl back. In his first three seasons, Run-CMC was available for all 16 games.
Christian McCaffrey will not be available to media, per team spokesman. Seemed like there was a disconnect with his injury today, which FOX was reporting well before team acknowledged it.

Since then, Christian McCaffrey has played in just 10. The do-it-all RB appeared in just three games in 2020 and has already missed five games this season due to a hamstring.
Here’s to hoping one of the NFL‘s truly special talents can be back on the field sooner rather than later.
