WWE superstar Bianca Belair has done it all. She's a three-time women's singles champion, a cover star for WWE 2K24, and the star of her own Hulu reality show Love & WWE: Bianca & Montez. And in case you didn't know, Belair is also the brain behind her iconic in-ring looks, which plays a big role in her excitement for PLEs (premium live events) like SummerSlam, which airs today at 6:30ET on Peacock.

"PLEs are our biggest shows of the year, so I get really excited because I get to be very creative," Belair tells Women's Health. "I always try to match my look to the theme [of the event] so that everybody's talking about it at the end of the night." Back in June, Belair competed at another PLE, Clash at the Castle: Scotland, with a knee-length braid accessorized to look like a dragon tail. "We have an amazing makeup team at WWE where I reach out to them, I tell them my ideas, and we collaborate," she says. "We used makeup sponges and hairspray with glitter to create a dragon tail, and I wanted scales on my arm, so we used metallic eyeshadow."

However, wrestling with hair that nearly grazes the floor is part of her signature look amongst other things like her bold lipstick. Ahead, Belair shares all her beauty secrets that help her prepare for the biggest events of the year.

The under $10 hair products Belair uses to secure her signature long braid

Belair's braid has changed in shape since her WWE debut in 2016. Sometimes it sits at hip length, and other times, it's down to her ankles. She's also known for adding accessories to it for PLEs. "I've kind of over complicated it because now I just want to keep trying different things," says Belair. "But I use a lot of hairpins, hairspray, and gel because [wrestlers] pull on it—I've gotten thrown out the ring and they've held onto it. I've hit the other girls with it, and it leaves marks."

Her must-haves include the Eco Style Krystal Styling Gel and the Got2b Glued Blasting Freeze Spray. "Eco Style is the only gel that will lay my hair down, and it lays my edges for when I like to get creative with them," says Belair. "And Got2b Glued...I probably use half a can every single time I wrestle. I literally cannot have a match without those two products." And in case it wasn't clear, yes, Belair does her own hair. In fact, she says it helps calm her before matches.

How Belair puts her scalp and hair health first

The constant styling required for shows throughout the week—in addition to press events— puts a lot of stress on Belair's hair, which is why she opts for styling methods and products that give her scalp a refresh. "I recently got into wigs, and I play with the length," she says. "At home, I want to give my hair a break because the middle of my head is so sore from my braid [being] so heavy."

She currently swears by Shea Moisture products, the Pantene Pro V Gold series, and Cécred by Beyoncé. "I'm trying to use a lot of products for my scalp because it gets really inflamed," she says. "I have so many products in my [hair], and I need to be able to clean my hair out."

The bold red lipstick she uses to express her femininity

For many years, Bianca has used the kiss print as her logo, and it often appears on her wrestling gear (which she designs by herself, BTW). She gets creative with her makeup for matches, too. One of her favorites is the Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain 10HR Liquid Lipstick in "Always Red," which she says doesn't smudge or smear in the ring. She also loves creating a glitter lip on top of other colors like bright pink, purple, and blue.

"I wear lipstick, and I'm feminine, but I'm also very strong and powerful, and I feel like it's a woman's stamp," says Belair. "I'm a naturally muscular woman, and I'm proud of my muscles, so I wanted to highlight my strength and my femininity."

She reveals that the inspiration to use the kiss print and lipstick as a core part of her character comes from her grandmother, who always wore bright lipstick and sequins. "She believed that she was supposed to be this actress in Hollywood and that superstars wore red lipstick and sequins," says Belair. "So when I got into WWE, I was like, 'Okay, what is a superstar? Lipstick and sequins.'" She even tied the reference into her signature finishing move: the K.O.D. or "Kiss Of Death."

Belair's favorite no-budge complexion products

Wrestling for 20 to 25 minutes under bright lights is a recipe for makeup that smudges or bleeds off, but Belair has a few tricks to keep her looking photo ready from start to finish. She's a big fan of the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Liquid Foundation
and Danessa Myricks' Yummy Skin Soothing Serum Skin Tint Foundation. "Those are the two foundations that I live by that I feel really last throughout the whole entire match." says Belair. And like with any makeup look, a good setting spray can go along way. Belair's pick: the ONE/SIZE On 'Til Dawn Mattifying Waterproof Setting Spray.

"I always tell [people] that makeup is such a huge part of what we do in WWE," she says. "You want to make sure that at the end of your match, when your hand is being held high, that you still have a beautiful face of makeup because that picture is going to go online and on posters."

How she embraces makeup-free skin on her days off

Similar to how she cares for her hair, Belair also prefers to go makeup-free when she's at home. Because she has sensitive skin, she keeps her skincare routine minimal and often reachers for non-irritating products. "I live by Cetaphil because it's very gentle on my face," says Belair. "I'm a big Noxzema girl—my mom raised me on [the Original Deep Cleansing Cream], and I still live by it." For a boost of moisture after cleansing or exfoliating, she'll use coconut oil or castor oil. But ultimately, simplicity is the name of the game.

For Belair, beauty and representation go hand-in-hand

It's an understatement to say that Belair has influence across the WWE universe. Between the people who show up to see her at meet and greets, the young girls replicating her iconic braid, and the avid fans who go to shows or watch at home, Belair understands the power of her presence. "What I want to represent is that you can be loud, bold, and unapologetically you," says Belair. "I don't think there's a sport out there that has the representation that WWE has where any woman can look at [the roster] and see someone that they relate to—we get to define our own beauty."
