WWE star 'The Miz' says Jason Kelce would be 'a home run' at WrestleMania in Philly

Philadelphia has had its share of great professional wrestlers over the years. The next one might have just been discovered.

During a recent interview with TMZ Sports, WWE superstar "The Miz" mentioned now-retired Eagles center Jason Kelce as a potential WWE star.

“The way I look at is (as) more of a fan of the Kelces. I’ve played golf with Travis, and what an incredible human being," said the Miz, also known as Mike Mizanin. "Even when we were golfing, I was like, ‘When are you coming to WWE? When are you coming to WrestleMania?'

"Jason, I’ve never met him, but those are Cleveland guys, and that guy, he’s played for Philadelphia. It seems like a home run to me. But who knows? He’s retired. He might just want to relax and chill out. Or he’d like to come to Philadelphia for WrestleMania."

While nothing is set in stone, it's hard to imagine the older Kelce not being a prefect fit for professional wrestling.

He's big.

He's strong.

He's comfortable shirtless in front of large groups of fans.

And while physically, he's one of the strongest guys around, he might be an even better fit attitude-wise.

Kelce is funny, can be tough, and as proven on the successful podcast he hosts with his brother, the man can talk.

We're less than two weeks away from the perfect time for the big guy to debut.

Wrestlemania 40 coming to Philly

Wrestlemania is coming to Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Philadelphia Eagles, on April 6 and 7. And WWE always finds ways to make events special.

Could Kelce help Miz and his tag-team partner R Truth capture the tag team championships from Finn Balor and Damian Priest in the six-pack tag team ladder match? (Additional teams will be announced shortly.)

Or do you think he'll find himself in the biggest feud going? Perhaps he'll side with Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes as the latter looks to finish his story by winning the WWE Universal championship.

Then again, maybe Kelce is more of a Bloodline guy. Perhaps he'll back champion Roman Reigns and his tag team partner The Rock.

Hard to see that happening, at least in Philly.

The Rock and Reigns are bad guys. Perhaps if the game was in Dallas, Kelce could be a bad guy. But whoever the all-time great lineman sides with in Philly will be the good guys.

How to watch Wrestlemania 40

Wrestlemania will air on Peacock at 7 p.m. both nights.

The night one main event is the tag-team match. Night two will be a single match between Rhodes and Reigns in a rematch of last year's Wrestlemania.
