WWE’s NXT is returning to Fort Pierce with NXT Live, and the Creed Brothers are ready

NXT Live will return to the Havert L. Fenn Center in Fort Pierce for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic on Friday.

WWE’s official developmental brand, which is viewed each Tuesday on USA Network with NXT 2.0, has a wealth of up-and-coming talent, and that includes the Creed Brothers (Brutus and Julius), two standout amateur wrestlers making the transition to the pro version.

See them and many NXT superstars in Fort Pierce for a fun, family friendly house show (no TV). It’s part of the Citrus Circuit/the Coconut Loop, which gives WWE developmental wrestlers an opportunity to gain match experience in an intimate setting, interacting more with the crowd.

All NXT Live shows are listed on etix.com which is the only place to buy NXT Live tickets.

Here is my video interview with the Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus) of WWE’s NXT.

Inspired by the “Rocky” series and Shakespeare, the two siblings became known as the Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus) in WWE’s NXT. They have developed well under the guidance of the coaches and staff at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.

The Creeds won the 2022 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic by beating MSK (Wes Lee and Nash Carter) at NXT Vengeance Day in February and then later became NXT tag team champs by defeating Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince and Kit Wilson) at NXT In Your House in June.

They celebrated with family and friends in attendance within the Creed Corner, something the fans organically initiated at the WWE Performance Center.

Recently, Pretty Deadly beat the Creeds for the titles at NXT Worlds Collide, after Damon Kemp (another amateur wrestling standout) turned on the brothers. Prior, Kemp, the Creed Brothers, Ivy Nile and veteran talent Roderick Strong formed the stable The Diamond Mine.

Creed history

Originally from Lexington, Ohio, the Creed Brothers excelled on the mat, starring in wrestling for Lexington High School and later becoming top collegiate competitors.

Brutus is a two-time NCAA Division III All-American. He wrestled for Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio, where he studied exercise science, graduating in 2020. He went 108–13 in his collegiate career, including a perfect 30-0 mark his senior season. Ranked No.1 in the United States, he did not compete at the 2020 NCAA Championships because of the cancellation of the event stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Older brother and slightly slender/taller Julius wrestled for Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, where he majored in sociology, graduating in 2018. He was a two-time NCAA Division I All-American (even as a lighter heavyweight) and a three-time NCAA Academic All-American. He won the 2018 Atlantic Coast Conference heavyweight championship. He set a Blue Devils record for most wins in a single season and ranked second for overall career wins. He competed in the 2016 Olympic trials in the Greco-Roman and freestyle categories, placing fifth.

Julius became an assistant coach at Duke and also helped train UFC legend Daniel Cormier for MMA matches against Jon “Bones” Jones and Stipe Miocic. He has interest in coaching wrestling and competing MMA, but these days his 110-percent focus is NXT and recapturing NXT tag team gold.

In October 2020, Julius was signed by WWE after being scouted by WWE Hall of Famer Gerald Brisco (also a top amateur wrestler) at the 2018 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships and attending a tryout that June. In February 2021, Brutus was signed to a contract by WWE after attending a tryout at his brother’s urging.

Away from the ring, the Creed Brothers live a good, clean life. They are role models, setting a positive example for the youth and others. They talk the talk and walk the walk, something which they take very seriously.

In the ring, the Creed Brothers developed a power-based pro style, with slams, lariats, suplexes and collisions, while wearing collegiate wrestling singlets. They draw comparisons to WWE Hall of Famers the Steiner Brothers, while making their own mark. They are also influenced by Kurt Angle, Brock Lesnar and Shelton Benjamin, three more amateur and pro wrestling standouts.

Interestingly enough, Bron Breakker is the NXT champion, and he is closely connected to those Steiner Brothers. His father is Rick Steiner, and Scott is his uncle. The Creeds met and respect both.
