Wunmi Mosaku in first-look at new ITV thriller from Broadchurch star
Broadchurch actor Andrew Buchan's new ITV thriller has revealed a first look.
Like Broadchurch, Passenger is a dark comedy about a tight-knit community coming to terms with unspeakable events — and facing the prospect of an investigation by an outsider.
The series centres around the mysterious disappearance of local girl Katie Wells (Rowan Robinson) from Chadder Vale and her subsequent sudden reappearance that begs more questions than it answers.
Former Metropolitan Police detective Riya Ajunwa (Loki and Lovecraft Country's Wunmi Mosaku) came to Chadder Vale to investigate a series of strange crimes — and now has a case that could make her career.

Riya is puzzled why Chadder Vale's residents don't have more questions about what happened to Katie, but blame starts to shift in the town when more unexplained crimes start occurring.
The ensemble cast includes a reunion for Shameless stars David Threlfall and Sean Gilder, as well as After Life's Jo Hartley and former Coronation Street star Debbie Rush.
Series creator Andrew Buchan is best known for his acting work, playing Mark Latimer in ITV's Broadchurch and Queen Camilla's former husband Andrew Parker Bowles in The Crown.
The project is his screenwriting debut, and will also feature The Bay's Daniel Ryan and Barry Sloane, Natalie Gavin (Ackley Bridge) and Coronation Street's Jack James Ryan in supporting roles.

When the project was first announced, Andrew Buchan said in a statement that he was "unbelievably thrilled" to be taking this new step in his career.
"I feel very lucky and very flattered they've gone with these scripts and I'm going to work my backside off to make them the best they can be," the writer said.
"I've always loved shows where the known collides with the unknown… where you see communities faced with something horrifying and inexplicable, where, as a viewer, you've nothing in your kit-bag to explain it. When I started writing the scripts, I wanted to create something epic and unknown but also bed it somewhere close to home. Having grown up in Lancashire it felt like the perfect place for it. We'll definitely see the residents of Chadder Vale pushed to their limits."
Passenger will air next year on ITV1 and ITVX.
