The WWE had major news to announce this Saturday regarding Bray Wyatt. In a shocking turn of events, the company has decided to release “The Fiend.”

“WWE has come to terms on the release of Bray Wyatt,” the company said in a press release. “We wish him the best in all his future endeavors.”

Wyatt signed a developmental contract with the WWE back in 2009. He worked his way up the ladder and started receiving marquee matches for some of the top pay-per-views.

In addition to being a one-time WWE champion and two-time Universal champion, Wyatt was a former Raw and SmackDown Tag Team champion.

The WWE universe is crushed by the company’s latest release. Wyatt wasn’t just a great in-ring performer, he was one of the best at cutting promos.

“Wow. My favorite current male wrestler. By far. What a talent,” Ariel Helwani tweeted. “Excited to see what he does next and hope he’s doing well.”

“Mind. Blown. Excited to see him thrive in whatever he does next,” Renee Paquette wrote.

Even former WWE star Braun Strowman shared his thoughts on the latest news, tweeting “Brother I’m waiting!”

Strowman and Wyatt were part of “The Wyatt Family” for several years. Erick Rowan and Luke Harper were also members of this WWE faction.

At this time, it’s unclear why the WWE released Wyatt.

Wyatt will immediately go to the top of the wishlist for wrestling companies in need of new talent.
