WR Christian Kirk expected to sign huge deal with Jaguars

The Arizona Cardinals are about lose their top receiver from 2021 to free agency. According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoportand Tom Pelissero, receiver Christian Kirk is going to land with the Jacksonville Jaguars and get a huge contract.

Kirk had his best season in 2021, his fourth in the league since getting drafted in the second round by Arizona in 2018. He had 77 receptions for 982 yards and five touchdowns.

He was one of the more respected players on the team by coaches and teammates, but his biggest impact is done from the slot and the Cardinals have high hopes for Rondale Moore, whom they drafted in the second round in 2021.

According to Kyle Odegard, the deal could be as much as $17 million per season.

If the deal happens, he will have quarterback Trevor Lawrence throwing to him and be led by head coach Doug Pederson, who won a Super Bowl as head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles.
