Worcester police release wanted poster for suspect in deadly April shooting

WORCESTER — Police have distributed a wanted poster for a Worcester man in connection with a deadly shooting in April at 1 Allendale St.

Lino Menjivar, 30, of Jefferson Street, is wanted in connection with the killing of 24-year-old Bob Nuah. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Menjivar is wanted on charges of armed assault to murder, carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling.

According to the wanted poster, Menjivar's last known location was in Virginia, but his current whereabouts are unknown.

He is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, about 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Menjivar also has face tattoos and is said to have the known alias of "L," according to the wanted poster.

Police were dispatched to the Allendale Street area about 2:15 a.m. on April 13 after a report of gunshots. Nuah was unconscious when he was located.

He was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Allendale Street is near Murray Avenue, two blocks from Main Street.

Nuah's identity was confirmed to the Telegram & Gazette by family members. His two sisters described him as a loving person.

A 2018 graduate of Claremont Academy in Worcester, Nuah was about to graduate from a dental assistant school at the time of his death, his sisters said. He planned to continue schooling at Quinsigamond Community College.

The family of the victim is asking for assistance with funeral expenses via a GoFundMe page.

Also on Thursday, police announced the arrest of a 16-year-old male in the shooting of the driver of a sport utility vehicle that slammed into a house April 30 on Paine Street. The teen is facing attempted murder and other charges.
