A movie staring Woody Harrelson is being filmed in South Carolina and needs extras.

Called “Suncoast,” filming for the movie is currently underway in Charleston and is set to last until Nov. 1, according to the South Carolina Film Commission. The movie also stars Laura Linney and Nico Parker and was written by Laura Chinn, who is directing the film as well.

Extras for SC film

The film commission’s website notes that the movie needs many extras of all ages, races and types. Extras will portray protesters, wealthy high school students, hospital staff, townspeople and more.

There is a special need for men and women 18 years old through mid-20s who can still pass as teenagers for filming.

All extras will be paid.

The production is also seeking vehicles made between the 1990s and 2005 for the film.

Background on SC film

According to IMDb, the film is an original story inspired by Chinn’s life experience from the early 2000’s. The story follows a teenager living with her strong-willed mother, who must take her brother to live at a specialized facility.

Harrelson has starred in many films and television shows over the years, from “Zombieland” to “True Detective.”

While the movie is being filmed in South Carolina, it is not set in the Palmetto State. Instead, Charleston is being used as a stand-in for Clearwater Florida where Chinn grew up, the Tampa Bay Times reported. Unlike South Carolina, Florida does not offer a program with tax incentives for movies.

South Carolina’s program offers up to 25% back on wages, up to 30% back on qualifying goods and services and a sales tax exemption.
