Woody Allen, Soon-Yi deny allegations in new documentary in which Mia Farrow shares ‘regret’ bringing him into family

Woody Allen denied the contents of an explosive new documentary series in which his ex Mia Farrow described introducing the filmmaker to her family as her “great regret.”

“Allen v. Farrow” debuted its first episode on HBO on Sunday, with Farrow’s daughter, Dylan Farrow, speaking about her child abuse allegation against Allen.

Mia Farrow, who was in a relationship with Allen from 1980 to 1992, is also featured in the documentary, which was made by Amy Ziering and Kirby Dick.

“That’s the great regret of my life, that I wasn’t perceptive enough. It’s my fault,” Mia Farrow said on the series, according to People. “I brought this guy into my family. There’s nothing I can do to take that away.”

Allen and his wife, Soon-Yi Previn, slammed the four-part series as a “hatchet job” in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter.

“These documentarians had no interest in the truth. Instead, they spent years surreptitiously collaborating with the Farrows and their enablers to put together a hatchet job riddled with falsehoods,” the statement reads.

Allen has long denied Dylan Farrow’s accusation that he sexually abused her in 1992, when she was 7 years old. An investigation followed, and the director was not charged.

Previn, who was adopted by Mia Farrow in 1978, married Allen in 1997.

Allen and Previn said in their denial Sunday that they previously declined to respond to the documentary after only receiving “a matter of days” to do so.

“As has been known for decades, these allegations are categorically false,” reads the statement to The Hollywood Reporter.

“Multiple agencies investigated them at the time and found that, whatever Dylan Farrow may have been led to believe, absolutely no abuse had ever taken place. It is sadly unsurprising that the network to air this is HBO — which has a standing production deal and business relationship with Ronan Farrow. While this shoddy hit piece may gain attention, it does not change the facts.”
