Who won Thursday Night Football? Patriots actually score points in taking down Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers are going to have to do some soul searching.

For the second time in four days, they lost to a team with a 2-10 record, dropping their own record to 7-6 and damaging any playoff hopes they had.

The Steelers fell to the New England Patriots, 21-18, on Thursday night in Pittsburgh, in a game which oddsmakers set an over/under of 30 total points, the lowest such number in decades.

Perhaps that's because Bill Belichick's Patriots were shut out by the Los Angeles Chargers, 6-0, four days earlier. But that didn't matter Thursday night as Patriots QB Bailey Zappe threw three first-half touchdowns to give New England a 21-10 lead at the half.

The Steelers, who were coming off a 24-10 loss to the 2-10 Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, tried to rally behind QB Mitchell Trubisky, who started for the injured Kenny Pickett. But Trubisky fell short as he couldn't satisfy a home crowd that was booing him all night long.
