Woman shot and killed in northeast side home

A woman was shot and killed inside her northeast side home early Saturday morning, according to Indianapolis police.

Officers were dispatched to the 4300 block of Hovenweep Way just after 1 a.m. and located a 50-year-old woman inside the home who had been shot. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The Marion County coroner's office will release the woman's name after next of kin have been notified.
