Woman dies after single-vehicle crash in Springettsbury Twp. early Friday morning: coroner
A woman died Friday, May 24 after a single-vehicle crash in Springettsbury Township, according to a news release from the York County Coroner.
The identity of the 35-year-old woman will be released after notification of additional family members, according to the release.
According to the release, the unrestrained woman was found at the site of a vehicle crashed into a utility pole in the area of Stonewood and Trowbridge roads at 3:39 a.m.
"She was initially found awake at the scene, outside of her vehicle; however, her condition quickly deteriorated and she became unresponsive and was transported to WellSpan York Hospital," read the release. "After a brief period of resuscitative measures, she was pronounced dead at WellSpan at 4:56 a.m."
The manner of the accidental death was determined to be blunt force trauma, and no autopsy is planned − though a routine toxicology was obtained.
Springettsbury Township Police is the investigating agency.
