Based on a story by Shirtcliff and Angie Simms, who will pen the script, Triton follows three young women who go on a vacation to Greece. While in Greece, the three women run into a group of three charismatic young men who are more than they seem.

Filmmaker Shirtcliff, who previously worked as a magazine photographer, made her directorial debut with the Lionsgate crime thriller Habit which starred Bella Thorne opposite Gavin Rossdale.

Allan, who has starred as Ciri in The Witcher since 2019, is next set to star in the 2024 movie Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.

Earlier this year, Allan opened up about filming an "iconic" moment from season 3 of The Witcher in which Ciri encounters a unicorn.

"It was great acting with the unicorn," Allan said. "I love horses. I did some practice with the horse and laid out in the desert with it."

"It's such an iconic moment in Ciri's journey, it's such a pivotal point. It's actually one of the most important journeys I've had with the character," she continued.

"No. 1: She has to survive. That makes her grow up in some ways. But also, the whole desert chapter is all about her trying to figure out herself."
