Wine Fest at Ocean City's Fager's Island and a big free show at Dogfish Head: The slate
April is set to close out with a bang at several beach bars and restaurants. The entertainment slate in coming days includes a free concert, a wine festival and a weekday deck party that is a Delmarva tradition.
Dogfish Head hosting Old 97's frontman for big free Rehoboth show
In Rehoboth Beach, the Dogfish Head brewpub will host a free show featuring acclaimed singer-songwriter Rhett Miller (frontman for The Old 97’s) at 9 p.m., Friday, April 26. Prior to the show, Miller will sit down for a “fireside chat” with interviewer Mike Vasiliko of Philadelphia’s WXPN FM and Dogfish founder Sam Calagione from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Dogfish Inn hotel in downtown Lewes.
In other Dogfish news, the Rehoboth brewpub has also announced that a free concert by national alt-rock act Clap Your Hands Say Yeah has been booked for 9 p.m. Friday, June 7.

Wine lovers rejoice: Fager's Island bring big fest back to Ocean City
In Ocean City, Fager’s Island will present its annual Spring Wine Fest from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 27 ($78). Groovalicious will get the dance floor moving with its take on ’70’s disco music.
Fager’s will also host its first Monday deck party of the year April 29. Local favorite Transfuzion will play classic rock tunes from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. to kick off the weekly outdoor tradition, and admission is free.

OC Bikefest adds Tesla, Ted Nugent for big Ocean City double bill
Elsewhere in Ocean City, the organizers of OC Bikefest (which will take place Wednesday through Sunday, Sept. 11-15) have announced which rock ’n’ roll acts will play the main stage at the Inlet on two of those days. Things will kick off that Wednesday with a free concert by hard-rock favorite Buckcherry. A classic-rock double bill featuring sets by Tesla and Ted Nugent is set for Friday ($90).
Last but not least in Ocean City, Seacrets has announced an addition to its annual summer concert series. Jamaican reggae trio F.Y.A.H. (Free Your Authentic Heart) will kick off the Independence Day weekend with a performance on the outdoor beach stage at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 3. Admission will be a mere $5 (or free with local ID).
