Who Will Win 'RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars' Season 9? Episode 3 Power Rankings

RuPaul's Drag Race Episode 3

RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars has returned for Season 9 and eight of our favorite queens from seasons past have re-entered the Werk Room to fight for $200,000. Only this time, instead of taking home the prize themselves, they'll be competing for charity AND no one is going home.

However, each episode the queens will be competing for Benefactress Badges with the three queens who collect the most badges competing for the crown in the season's finale.

Which brings us to the question: Who will win Season 9 of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars?

To that end, I've put together a ranking of the eight queens competing on this season, ordered from least likely to most likely to be inducted into the Drag Race Hall of Fame. It's a power ranking if you will, and while there are supposed spoilers on dark corners of the internet, I haven't read any of them. This ranking is also based on how likely the queen is to WIN the competition, not just go far, and takes into consideration everything that took place in the season's first three episodes.

Here is last week's ranking of Episodes 1 & 2 if you'd like to see where we stood coming into this week.

8. Vanessa Vanjie Mateo

Last Week's Placement: Eighth
Wins: 0
Benefactress Badges: 0
Not Cut Off

Three episodes in and it's pretty clear that Miss Vanjie is the season's personality hire. While the vibes are immaculate, she's never going to beat some of these girls on the fashion front and she's not as polished as others when it comes to comedy. She hasn't really placed near the top yet, and I think it would take some odd challenges for her to sneak her way into the top three.

7. Roxxxy Andrews

Last Week's Placement: Sixth
Wins: 0
Benefactress Badges: 0
Not Cut Off

While Roxxxy is an all around professional and pageant girl, she may spend a lot of this season turning in 3rd and 4th place performances that can't quite earn her badges. This week's Jessica Rabbit-inspired runway look was stunning but her choice to return to her Tasha Salad character in Snatch Game was misguided. Next week's makeover challenge could be a chance for Roxxxy to finally shine, but she's falling a bit behind.

6. Shannel

Last Week's Placement: Seventh
Wins: 0
Benefactress Badges: 0
Not Cut Off

Shannel and Roxxxy are taking up similar lanes in the competition so far. Both are work horse drag queens who will be delivering consistently solid efforts the entire season. Will Shannel have what it takes to push past funnier and more stylish queens though and earn some Benefactress Badges? That remains to be seen.

5. Plastique Tiara

Last Week's Placement: Fourth
Wins: 0
Benefactress Badges: 1
Not Cut Off

Despite Plastique telling everyone at the beginning of the season that she's more comfortable with comedy, it is apparent that she's still far behind most of her competitors. Her Ali Wong Snatch Game impersonation was easily the weakest of the bunch, and I think we'll see more of that as the season progresses. Plastique is going to have to hope that her sense of style and branding is strong enough to sneak her into the top three. However, her poor lip syncing will also hurt her.

4. Jorgeous

Last Week's Placement: Third
Wins: 0
Benefactress Badges: 1
Cut Off

Unlike Plastique, I think Jorgeous has loosened up a bit since her original season and seems more willing to go full tilt. While her odd John Leguizamo Snatch Game performance wasn't top notch, it did make me believe Jorgeous could excel in some kind of comedy challenge in the future. Her dancing/performance strength is also unmatched here, so I think she's likely to earn another badge or two as we get to those types of challenges. She's cut off next week, but a makeover challenge didn't seem quite like her strong suit, so this is a good week for her to skip.

3. Nina West

Last Week's Placement: Fifth
Wins: 0
Benefactress Badges: 1 (Plus one to give away)
Not Cut Off

Despite Nina's disastrous lip sync, she did prove this week that when it comes to comedy challenges, she doesn't have too much competition. She could easily earn a few more badges this season and that could be enough to squeak her into the finale. Her fashion is definitely her weak spot, but it was for Jinkx Monsoon as well, so I certainly wouldn't count Nina out.

2. Angeria Paris VanMichaels

Last Week's Placement: Second
Wins: 1
Benefactress Badges: 1
Not Cut Off

In just three weeks, Angeria has solidified herself as one of the front runners in this competition and a huge threat to win the crown. Despite not earning a Benefactress Badge this week, she proved she'll be a front runner in every comedy challenge this season. Her solid runways and strong performance chops also mean she's likely to earn badges and wins against the likes of Plastique and Nina. Angeria doesn't really have weaknesses, but she's also perhaps the funniest queen in the lineup, which will help her over and over again.

1. Gottmik

Last Week's Placement: First
Wins: 2
Benefactress Badges: 2 (Plus one to give away)
Not Cut Off

After three weeks, Gottmik is the obvious choice for the All Stars 9 crown, and I imagine she'll hold that place for a bit. To begin, her fashion sense is unrivaled, and I have an incredibly hard time seeing a fashion challenge she doesn't win or a runway that doesn't bolster her position. Moreover, she has now won the Snatch Game two seasons in a row, which makes her a comedy threat as well. While her performance chops are a bit weak, that hasn't mattered as both Nina and Plastique are somehow even worse.
