Wild ‘N Out Star Jacky Oh’s Cause of Death Revealed
We now know why Wild ‘N Out star Jacky Oh (aka Jacklyn Smith) passed away suddenly in May at the age of 32.
The former MTV personality died due to complications from cosmetic surgery, a representative for the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner’s Office told People. (TMZ first reported the news.)

At the time of Oh’s death, a BET Media Group representative said in a statement: “We are deeply saddened by the passing of Jacklyn Smith, known to the world as Jacky Oh, a talented Wild ‘N Out family member whose impact will be forever treasured and missed. Jacky Oh was a loving friend and beloved colleague of the Wild ‘N Out cast throughout five seasons. More importantly, she was a tremendous mother to three beautiful children.”
Oh made her Wild ‘N Out debut in 2014, remaining as a cast member for five seasons. She and fellow Wild ‘N Out vet DC Young Fly (aka John Whitfield), who met back in 2015, are parents to daughters Nova and Nala and son Prince.
“The BET Media Group extends our sincere condolences to the Smith family, DC Young Fly, B Simone, Nick Cannon, and all friends who loved and cared for Jacky Oh during this difficult time,” the statement concluded.
