What to do in Wichita this weekend: Jason Aldean concert, kid shows, Dia De Los Muertos

It’s Halloween weekend, and Wichita will be full of spooky events (which you can find in a big list at kansas.com/holidays).

Plenty of things are also happening to entertain those in search of something less spooky, including a big country concert at Intrust Bank Arena, a couple of kid shows and more.

7:30 p.m. Saturday, Intrust Bank Arena, 500 E. Waterman

Country star Jason Aldean will return to Wichita on Saturday with his Rock N’ Roll Cowboy Tour. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. at Intrust Bank Arena and will be Aldean’s sixth concert at the venue since it opened in 2010. Aldean is known for hits like “Dirt Road Anthem” and “Night Train,” and his opening acts will be Chase Rice, John Morgan and Dee Jay Silver. Tickets are $25.75 to $99.75 and are available at www.selectaseat.com, by calling 316-755-SEAT or at the Select-a-Seat box office inside Intrust Bank Arena.

Dia De Los Muertos celebration

4:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, Naftzger Park, 601 E. Douglas

Naftzger Park will be the site of a Dia De Los Muertos celebration that’s scheduled for 4:30 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday. It will include music, dancing by Ballet Folklorico Mexico En el Corazòn and a screening of the Disney movie “Coco” starting at 6 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs for the movie. Admission is free.

Vineyard fall fest

11 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday, Prairie Hill Vineyard, 3660 N. 215th St. West, Colwich

Prairie Hill Vineyard in Colwich is putting on its annual Fall Festival from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, and the list of activities includes family-friendly fun like a petting zoo, craft vendors, face painting, hay rides, craft vendors and live music. The venue will also have a beer garden set up for adults. Tickets are $10 for adults, free for children 5 and under at www.eventbrite.com

‘Click Clack Boo’

10 a.m. and noon Friday and Saturday, Crown Uptown Theatre, 3207 E. Douglas

Wichita Children’s Theatre & Dance Center’s “Once Upon a Time” series of live shows returns this weekend with performances of the Halloween-themed “Click Clack Boo” at the Crown Uptown Theatre. Shows are at 10 p.m. and noon on Friday and Saturday. Pizza will be served before the noon show at 11:30 a.m. Show-only tickets are $9, and tickets with pizza included are $11. Advance reservations are required for those who want pizza at 316-262-2282. The show is recommended for ages 2 and up and families, and children are encouraged to wear their costumes to the performances.

Baby Shark Live!

2 p.m. Sunday, Hartman Arena, 8151 N. Hartman Arena Drive, Park City

If you can’t get the “Baby Shark” song out of your head now, wait until you take the kids to “Baby Shark Live,” a show starring Baby Shark and Pinkfong dancing and singing favorite songs. The show is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Sunday at Hartman Arena, and doors open at 1 p.m. Tickets are $25-$65 and available at ticketmaster.com

Highly Suspect at The Cotillion

8 p.m. Friday, The Cotillion, 11120 W. Kellogg

Highly Suspect, a rock band that hails from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and features twin brothers Rich and Ryan Meyer, will be at The Cotillion on Friday for an 8 p.m. concert that includes opening act Tigercub. Highly Suspect is known for singles like ”16” and “My Name is Human.” Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $39 and available at thecotillion.com

‘Teenage Dirtbag’ band at Wave

8 p.m. Saturday, Wave, 650 E. Second

Wheatus, a New York-based alternative rock band, will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at Wave. The group is best known for the song “Teenage Dirtbag,” which has recently become a TikTok sensation. Doors for the show open at 7 p.m., and the opening act is Fat Tony. Tickets are $20 at waveict.com
