Why'd Falcons RB Bijan Robinson choose Texas? He says it was God and one other person
Former Texas running back Bijan Robinson had an explosive rookie season for the Falcons, rushing for 976 yards and four touchdowns on 214 carries. Good, but the experience was somewhat similar to his rookie season in Austin - fans know that there is the potential for more.
Speaking of Texas, why did he go there in the first place? He talked about it recently on Radio Row when speaking to On Texas Football host Blake Munroe.

"It was just a lot of prayer. I knew that was where God wanted me to go, and the running back coach there at the time was Stan Drayton," Robinson said.
"I mean, he was, in my opinion, the top running backs coach in the country. Not just for being a running back, but for trying to be a great man."
Drayton spent five years at Texas as the associate head coach and the run game coordinator. He left in 2021 after being hired as Temple's head coach, with Tashard Choice replacing him.
If not for Drayton, Robinson might've decided to head to Ohio State. He was wavering between the two in his recruiting process, citing Drayton's influence as being the tipping point. Even so, Robinson spoke fondly of his time on the 40-acres.
"I felt that that was an amazing place not just for the college but for the city," the running back said.
