Those who regularly tune into The View probably noticed that they were one woman down this week, with Sara Haines missing from the broadcast on Tuesday, April 9—though she was present the day prior.

Viewers weren't left to worry too long, though, when only Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin and Alyssa Farah Griffin appeared on their screens, as the comedian was quick to address Haines' absence as their second segment began.

While Haines herself is okay, she is out for an unfortunate reason, mourning the loss of a loved one. “We needed to tell you that Sara’s out for a few days attending a funeral for a family friend," Goldberg said, per TVLine. "That’s why she’s not here.”

According to the publication, Haines hasn't addressed her absence directly, but did post an Instagram Story earlier this week that showed she was in Iowa, where she grew up with her three siblings.

The timeline means she was present for the show's latest conspiracy breakdown, where Sunny Hostin made a bold proclamation about the "rapture" coming after the recent earthquake, solar eclipse, and upcoming cicada situation, though Haines didn't participate in the conversation.

Goldberg shut the whole thing down, as she's wont to do, when she declared that "God doesn’t give you warning" before a biblical event. "You think he gave people at the Tower of Babel a warning? ‘Oh, I’m about to jack y’all up.’ No!”

She's been very vocal throughout "#KateGate," too, when every reported sighting of Kate Middleton was heavily scrutinized—even more so after the princess admitted to doctoring a family photo. The television host slammed critics of the royal and her photos for "buying into it" at the time.
