Why Prince William Is Reportedly "Envious" of Prince Harry, Who Is "Very Content"
Prince Harry and Prince William still have pretty much zero to do with each other thanks to their never-ending feud, and now a source is out here telling Us Weekly that Prince William is low-key jealous of his younger brother. Direct quote: “William is a bit envious of [his brother’s] freedoms."
So, how does Harry feel? Back in January he told Good Morning America that “There has always been this competition between us, weirdly." But things have changed, 'cause now an insider says Harry is no longer competitive with his older brother. In fact, the Duke of Sussex even invited Prince William and Kate Middleton to attend his Invictus Games anniversary event in London next month.
“Harry is very content [and] doesn’t have any of those [old] feelings now,” the source says. “He feels that his life has purpose and meaning and that he can bring a lot of good to the world.”
As for whether or not Wills and Kate will attend Harry's event, it seems...unlikely to put it mildly. At least based on what a friend of the couple told the Daily Beast, ahem:
“Both sides understand each other’s position clearly now. William and Catherine felt completely betrayed by Harry’s memoir [Spare]. They don’t speak to Harry and Meghan, and they are certainly not about to start when Catherine is at her most vulnerable.”
Oh, and another source had this to add: “[Harry is] just another person who sold his story to the papers. A ‘get well soon’ message is neither here nor there. But the whole situation doesn’t use up a huge amount of their mental energy any more. William and Kate have accepted it and moved on. Cancer puts things in perspective. William respects his father’s wish to reconcile with his son, but his focus now is on protecting his family from stressful situations.”
