Here’s Why Newly Engaged Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi Didn’t Make It to the Met Gala
ICYMI, Millie Bobby Brown and her new fiancé Jake Bongiov didn’t manage to step out for what would have been the actor’s very first Met Gala, which is v sad. But (!!!) we’ll chalk it up to the fact that they’re probs both just celebrating being newly engaged, über successful celebs, lol. *Le sigh* Still keeping fingers crossed for next year though! After all, this was officially the first year that Millie was eligible to go, so she’ll def be in the clear for 2024.
FYI, back in 2018, then-15-year-old Maddie Ziegler told The Hollywood Reporter that there's an age limit at the event, saying, “I can’t go, because I’m not old enough!” Organizers of the event then confirmed to the outlet that there was a newly implemented age limit, simply because “it’s not an appropriate event for people under 18.”
Millie and Jake confirmed their recent engagement about three weeks ago, when Millie posted pics with a huge diamond ring along with the Taylor Swift lyric “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all 🤍”
These two have been dating since June 2021 and confirmed their relationship in November of that year with this cute and v blurry kissing pic:
Millie then referred to Jake as her “partner for life” on Instagram, writing, “Endlessly in love with the year I’ve had! Grateful for my friends, family, donkey (bernard), my doggies, my puppies teeth, and my partner for life. Here’s to another year with you and the wonderful people and animals around us. Let’s do it again but better!”
