Calling all Lizzo fans: The pop star, 34, is sharing an inside scoop about her relationship with her partner, Myke Wright.

Before officially revealing her relationship, fans desperately tried to figure out who her mystery man was. (They even started doing deep dives into Lizzo's hit songs for answers.) The rumor mill had been swirling for years, but the singer had mostly kept things on the DL.

And now that the couple has been official for a while, she's giving fans a little peek into their relationship. The couple attended a "For Your Consideration" event for the Amazon Prime reality competition series, Watch Out for the Big Grrrls, in May, and Lizzo took to Instagram to share some cute photos of the two together. And now, the singer has opened up about her thoughts on love and marriage in a recent Vanity Fair interview, where she described Myke as “the love of my life,” and said they were “life mates.”

Who is Myke Wright?

Well, he's a man of many talents, so it makes sense he's the man for Queen Lizzo. Myke is actually a musician, designer and comedian. (But decidedly not a Minnesota Viking.)

According to Myke's IMDb page, he has a strong lineup of comedy gigs, including Adam Devine's House Party and Laughs and How To Be A Grown-Up, Doubting Thomas.

Myke also has a love for music that goes all the way back to his high school days. He revealed to VoyageLA that he used to be in a band called The Grey Level. Later, he started a hip hop group called Phresh Heir.

A total triple threat, he has contributed designs to Detroit-based luxury clothing brand, EMLE. Myke is also the founder of Umi, which allows him to make designs for different products created to improve "the quality of human life."

In a 2020 interview with VoyageLA, Myke revealed that he grew up on the West Side in Detroit, and moved to Los Angeles in 2012 to pursue standup comedy. But this small factoid about Myke's hometown is actually a pretty big deal.

When Lizzo released her hit song "Truth Hurts" in 2017, some people thought the lyrics hid a clue about her man because of the line, "new man on the Minnesota Vikings." And while fans theorized that Lizzo was dating a professional NFL player, she cleared things up during a 2019 concert in Detroit.

“The person I wrote that song about is from Detroit," Lizzo told the crowd, according to the Detroit Free Press. And now, it's all come full circle.

How long have they been together?

ICYDK, Myke and Lizzo have known each other for a long time. (Lizzo told Vanity Fair that she’s known Myke for six years, to be exact.) They have even worked together before! In 2016, the two co-hosted MTV's music series, Wonderland. Fast forward to 2022, Myke and Lizzo were spotted out on a date in L.A. for dinner on Valentine's Day:

It's unclear exactly when they started dating, but he's clearly been a big part of her life lately.

Lizzo spilled details to Bravo host Andy Cohen.

A few months after being photographed with Myke, Andy Cohen asked Lizzo about her date, and she confirmed she had a boyfriend.

“You were photographed in LA in February at Craig’s with a mystery man. Are you guys still together?” Andy asked Lizzo on his radio show. “Yeah, whatever, yeah," Lizzo replied.

Andy asked if her beau minded her fame. “If you have the right person then no. Not at all, it’s not even a factor,” she said. “It should be mutually supportive no matter what that person does.”

“I’m so happy for you,” Andy said. “That’s the thing about you. I just feel like you have so many people rooting for you.

Are Lizzo and Myke engaged?

Fans were quick to point out one hard-to-miss pic of the couple holding hands, mostly because there's a, um, sparkly diamond ring on Lizzo's left ring finger. One follower jumped in the comment section to ask the question everyone was thinking: "Did you get engaged, girl???" Another chimed, "IS THAT ENGAGEMENT?"

So did they get engaged? Well, while Lizzo considers Myke her “everything,” she has also said that she doesn’t believe in traditional monogamy. So, an engagement sounds unlikely.

That being said, Lizzo loves weddings. In fact, she told Vanity Fair that she “would like to have a wedding over a marriage.” She caveated: “If I wanted to start a business with him, I’d get married because that’s when your finances come together.”

What else has Lizzo said about monogamy?

The celeb has described monogamous norms as “claustrophobic,” according to ET, but she has also said she’s not “a polyamorous person, I’m not in love with multiple partners,” per Vanity Fair.

Lizzo does, however, prioritize autonomy and independence in her relationships. “How wonderful would it be to be this complete independent person and to come together to make two complete independent people? Not that whole ‘You complete me, you’re my other half.’ No. I’m whole, and you’re incredible, too.”

When talking about Myke, Lizzo explained, “We’re just in love. And that’s it.”

She added: “We’re like the mirror image of each other. We’re connected. But that doesn’t mean I was incomplete when I met him.”

Love that for Lizzo!
