Christina Aguilera may be a "Fighter," but there's only so much she can do about getting sick.

On Wednesday, Jan. 3, the "Beautiful" singer took to Instagram to announce that she has been forced to postpone some dates amid her Las Vegas residency. Why? Well, according to The Voice alum, she's contracted a "new year flu."

"After welcoming all of you to the New Year from the stage in Las Vegas, I've been welcomed with a new year flu," Aguilera wrote on an Instagram Story. "I am sorry to share that my two shows this weekend will be rescheduled while I rest."

However, the paused residency won't be for long, as Xtina assured her followers that she "cannot wait to be back on that stage in a few weeks."

She concluded, "I'm incredibly proud of the show and grateful for all of the support and love after opening weekend. See you soon. Ticket info available at original point of purchase."

This unfortunate update comes less than a week after Aguilera, 43, launched her residency at The Venetian Resort's Voltaire in Sin City. Back in October, the Burlesque actress shared on Instagram, "Immerse yourself in the fusion of art and music 💎 I’m bringing an intimate, seductive and sophisticated new show to Las Vegas. @voltairelv will allow me to be up-close-and-personal with YOU for a truly modern twist on the performance experience."

Fans couldn't get enough of the announcement at the time, with one writing on social media, "Can’t wait to see your show."

Another chimed in with, "CANT WAIT! ✨♥️🔥."

It seems like some fans will have to wait after all.
