Whoopi Goldberg Halts Taping 'The View' to Confront Audience Member
Whoopi Goldberg does not have any patience for audience members at The View who do not follow the rules.
During a live taping on Tuesday, the Oscar winner stopped co-host Sunny Hostin mid-conversation as she noticed one man in the crowd using his phone, purportedly to film. Goldberg, perturbed by the rogue recorder, got up from the table and walked across the stage to call out the bad behavior.
"Hold on a second. Sir, I have to stop you with the camera because I can see you," Goldberg says in a video making the rounds on social media. "Do me a favor: Don’t pull it out again. I’d appreciate that. Thank you."

The interruption came as the ladies of the daytime talk show, including Joy Behar, Sara Haines and Alyssa Farah Griffin, were discussing former President Donald Trump's legal and financial woes. As Goldberg got up from the table, her four co-hosts turned their heads to look at what was going on with the unseen audience member.
"What was he doing?" Behar asked.
"Recording," Haines responded.
The Sister Act star's words and actions resonated with other audience members, who burst into applause at Goldberg's scolding. As she was returning to the table, the man appeared to respond to her but his remarks could not be heard on camera.
