White Pigeon boys, Centreville girls first at Monday meet

WHITE PIGEON - White Pigeon was the host of a makeup track and field meet on Monday evening.

The original meet was scheduled to be held last week, but weather kept that from happening. On Monday, the Chief boys won with 147 total points. Centreville finished second with 146, Mendon came in third at 126 and Athens finished fourth with 83. The Centreville girls won with 173 points, Athens was second at 123 while White Pigeon came in third with 98 and Mendon finished fourth with 96.

Carter Cartier won the 100 dash for Centreville at 11.77 seconds. Deandre Stout was second at 11.78 seconds and Mekhi Singleton came in third at 11.79 seconds. Stout won the 200 at 23.90, Jack McCaw came in second at 24.11 and Drew Kobryn finished third at 24.69.

Josh Davidson ran to first in the 400 (54.00). Owen Gorham was second at 54.47 and Ethan Miller finished third at 56.61. Ryder Gorham ran to second in the 800 at 2:20.90, Henry Sloat was third at 2:21.78.

Ryder Gorham was first in the mile at 5:15.40, Ben Iobe ran to second at 5:20.10.

Jesse Fielis was first in the two-mile at 11:22.35, Iobe came in second at 11:28.35 and David Lane was third at 12:18.91.

Jordan Pisco finished second in the hurdles, running a time of 16.51 in the 110 and 43.04 in the 300.

Centreville won the 400 relay as Declan Kane, Brendan Sre, Cartier and Stout posted a time of 45.61 seconds. White Pigeon won the 800 as Caleb Lane, Kobryn, Davidson and Singleton posted a time of 1:37.27. The mile relay went to White Pigeon as Davidson, Pisco, Kobryn and Singleton ran a time of 3:39.90.

Mendon won the two-mile relay with Ryder Gorham, Iobe, Andrew McClain and Kyron Christner posting a time of 9:31.24.

Seth Miller won the shot put at 44-4 feet. Matt Bates of Centreville won the discus at 117-5 feet. Wes Roberts was second in the shot put at 42-feet and second in the discus at 115-10 feet.

Pisco won the high jump at 6-2 feet. McCaw won the long jump at 20-6.5 feet.

For the girls, Ellie Miller of Centreville won the 200 at 28.46 seconds. Leah Roberts was second at 30.34 while Miller came in second in the 100 at 14.08.

Mendon's Taylor Zinsmaster won the 400 at 1:09.92. Centreville's Arianna Six was second at 1:11.46.

Berkley Shingledecker won the 800 at 2:41.622. Reed was second at 2:43.07.

Presley Allen of Mendon won the mile (6:17.76) and two-mile (13:18.41) runs. Reed was second in the mile (6:29.18) and two-mile (14:45.29) runs.

Addison Smith of White Pigeon won the 100 hurdles at 19.60.

In the 800 relay, the Centreville team of Nevaeh Prichard, Shingledecker, Roberts and Miller came in first at 1:59.14. The Centreville team of Shingledecker, Six, Ninon Gontier and Reed won the mile relay at 4:40.24.

Winning the two-mile relay was White Pigeon's team of Aubrey Miller, Ana Miller, Rachel Schelstraete and Jamielynn Delarye at 12:02.26.

Sadie McDaniel won the shot put at 32-7 feet. Sydney McClure was second at 31-9 feet and Ellie McBride was third at 30-3 feet as White Pigeon took the top three spots.

Brianna Heitkamp won the discus for Mendon at 75-7 feet.

Mendon's Alicyn Arevalo won the high jump at 4-10 feet. Emily Roberts of Centreville on the pole vault, clearing 6-0 feet.

Reed was first in the long jump at 15-2 feet.
