Where to Score Cheap Burgers for National Cheeseburger Day
No one really needs a reason to eat a good cheeseburger, but if there's any good excuse, it's National Cheeseburger Day on Sept. 18. Many fast-food and restaurant chains are offering cheap — or even free — burger deals, so you could theoretically celebrate the day with multiple meat-and-cheese-filled meals from these spots. Just don't tell your cardiologist.

McDonald's let customers vote on which burger should be free for National Cheeseburger Day, and the people have spoken: Score a free double cheeseburger with any $1 or more purchase when you order through the McDonald's app.

National Cheeseburger Day is celebrated from Sept. 17-19 at Burger King. On those three days, you can get a free cheeseburger when you make another purchase of at least $1, but orders must be placed online or through the app and you must be a member of Royal Perks, the chain's loyalty program.

Customers at Smashburger can get a buy one, get one free deal Sept. 18, available in store or online with promo code BOGO22. You can mix and match single and double burgers, or even swap out beef patties for chicken, turkey, or black bean burgers.
Applebee's is offering an online Burger Bundle deal for $11 on Sept. 18. You can choose a specialty burger, like the whiskey bacon cheeseburger or Impossible cheeseburger, and it comes with fries and a Moutain Dew Dark Berry Bash. To order, select the National Cheeseburger Day option from the online menu.
The Jumbo Jack cheeseburger is only $2 on Sept. 18, as long as you buy something else along with it via the Jack in the Box app. The burger comes with two slices of cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onion, pickles, ketchup, and mayo.
Dairy Queen is keeping things simple for National Cheeseburger Day by offering $1 off any of its signature Stackburgers. Orders must be placed as standalone items — not as part of any combo meal — and through the app to get the deal.
You can also get two burgers for the price of one at Wayback Burgers. On Sept. 18, order one classic burger through the chain's app and get one free. The burger comes with two beef patties, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup, and mustard.
Customers at Miller's Ale House can celebrate National Cheeseburger Day for an entire week. On Sept. 18-24, get a classic cheeseburger for $7, or grab a signature burger for $3 more. The deal is available only to members of the chain's loyalty program.
You can already get the National Cheeseburger Day deal at Mooyah now through Sept. 18. Just order $5 or more on the chain's app, and you can add the MDC burger — that's the restaurant's standard double cheeseburger — for only $5.
