Here’s where Middle Georgia’s top football players went on Early Signing Day

With the high school football season concluded, Middle Georgia’s best players turn their attention to their college careers. With Early Signing Day on Wednesday, many athletes have committed but will sign official contracts to seal the deal.

Here’s a list of Middle Georgia’s top recruits before the big day, along with who they’ll sign with.

Vic Burley, defensive line, Warner Robins

Burley has long been Middle Georgia’s most sought after prospect. The defensive standout has been dominant for the Demons, and a big part of their long run of state championship appearances. He’s the third-ranked recruit on 247 Sports.

Burley has already committed to Clemson and signed his official National Letter of Intent Wednesday at Warner Robins High School.

Johnny Williams IV, offensive tackle, Northeast

A big part of Northeast’s strong playoff season was Williams and his work on the offensive line. The 6’6”, 300-pound tackle manhandled opponents on his way to becoming a sought-after prospect.

Williams committed to playing for the University of West Virginia back in June and officially signed Wednesday morning.

CJ Allen, linebacker, Lamar County

Allen ranks just one spot below Burley on the 247 Sports state recruiting rankings, and for good reason. The four-star linebacker is in the top 50 nationally and is the fourth-best linebacker.

Allen has also already committed, but he’s headed to the University of Georgia instead. The Trojan star committed to play for UGA over other schools including Auburn and Tennessee back in June and signed his official deal Wednesday morning.

T.J. Searcy, defensive line, Upson-Lee

Searcy wowed schools with his dominant size and ability on the defensive line. He hopes to follow in the footsteps of Travon Walker, another Upson-Lee defensive product who was recently the #1 pick in the NFL Draft this year.

Walker is the 15th-ranked recruit in Georgia according to 247 Sports, but he’ll be leaving the state to play college ball. He committed to play for the University of Florida in July and signed officially Wednesday morning.

Skielar Mann, linebacker, Peach County

Mann is a highly rated linebacker from the Trojans who was an impact player on defense this year. He helped lead Peach County to another region title.

Mann committed to Ole Miss in September over offers from others including Georgia Tech and Florida State. He officially signed with the Rebels Wednesday morning.
