Where will Kansas State football TE Ben Sinnott go in 2024 NFL draft? Some projections

MANHATTAN — Add Kansas State football tight end Ben Sinnott to the long list of Wildcat walk-on success stories.

So rapid was his rise through the ranks that it took him just three seasons following a redshirt year to become a sure-fire pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

After a breakout year in 2022, during which he caught 31 passes for 447 yards and four touchdowns, he established himself as a top-five tight end prospect in the draft last season with 49 receptions for team highs of 676 yards and six touchdowns. For the second straight year, Big 12 coaches voted him to the all-conference first team as a fullback.

K-State's offense requires its tight ends to assume fullback duties as well, and at 6-foot-4, 250 pounds, Sinnott added value by handling those as well. But it was as a receiver that he made his mark, not only with his nose for the ball, but also as a punishing runner after the catch.

Even though he was eligible to return both as a senior and then as a super-senior in 2025, Sinnott decided to cash in on last year's success, opting out of the Wildcats' Pop-Tarts Bowl matchup with North Carolina State to prepare full time for the draft. It appears to have paid off as he is projected on most mock draft boards to go as early as Friday's second or third rounds and not slipping below the fourth.

He showed off his athleticism this spring at the NFL Draft Combine. If he has one weakness in the eyes of scouts it is his blocking ability.

Here is where some of the latest mock drafts have Sinnott landing in the NFL.
