Here is where Kansas City Chiefs fans can purchase this year’s Red Friday flags

Plenty of people in Kansas City are going to be seeing red on Friday.

It’s Red Friday, so Chiefs fans will be dressing in their team’s colors, and many will be looking to get this year’s flag. The Chiefs said fans can purchase the Red Friday flags in person or online.

This year’s flag has a yellow border with the words “Chiefs Kingdom” repeated around a red background that has “Chiefs Kingdom” in larger font and the team’s logo displayed prominently.

The flags will goon sale at 6 a.m. Friday morning at Hy-Vee stores and McDonald’s restaurants in Kansas City, St. Joseph and Lawrence. A map with the locations of where to buy a flag can be found here.

Each flag costs $5 and proceeds benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City.

Can’t make it to one of those locations? The Chiefs’ Pro Shop will be selling the flags for $10, which includes the cost of shipping.

A news release from the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City said the organization has received $3.7 million from the sales of the flags over the past nine years. Here is how much money has been raised in each of the past six years.

2021: $900,000

2019: $500,00

2018: $275,000

2017: $331,000

2016: $240,000
