Where to find Easter brunch or dinner around Indianapolis

For millions of Christians and Catholics, the Easter season is synonymous with tradition. Foreheads blackened with crosses on Ash Wednesday, fasting during Lent, fronds waving in the air on Palm Sunday and, if you are lucky, a really big meal on Easter Sunday.

If you're not in the mood to cook, several Indianapolis-area eateries will serve special menus March 31, Easter Sunday, this year. Whether you're looking for eggs benedict or spiral ham, here's where to find a meal this Easter. Just be sure to get your reservations in before spots fill up — not everyone can pull off a miracle in as little as three days.

Bottleworks Hotel

The Bottleworks Hotel will serve a gourmet brunch including two salads, shrimp cocktail and oysters, a carving station, made-to-order pasta, made-to-order omelets, various hot sides and a dessert station. Drinks include a mimosa bar and several non-alcoholic drinks. Other cocktails are available for purchase at the full-service bar. Tickets are $85 and include the mimosa bar. Two-hour reservations can be made online for 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Capri Italian Restaurant

The Clearwater eatery will serve a brunch buffet featuring American staples alongside Capri Italian fare from 11 a.m. to 5 .m. Diners can sample from a carving station, dessert table and numerous wine pairings. Entry is $39 per person and $15 for guests under 12. The Pacers-owned, Cunningham Group-operated steakhouse and speakeasy will offer a brunch buffet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a carving station, raw bar and various brunch staples. Each adult reservation costs $95, while children under 12 eat for $25 each. Reservations can be made through OpenTable or over the phone.

Delicia

The SoBro eatery will offer a special Easter brunch menu featuring a blend of Latin and classic American flavors, plus an expansive cocktail menu. From biscuits and chorizo-thyme gravy ($16) to tres leches bread pudding ($12), there are plenty of opportunities for curious diners to experiment. Reservations can be made online or by phone.

Eddie Merlot's

The Fort Wayne-based steakhouse will serve a brunch buffet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The menu features stations for breakfast, made-to-order omelets, salads, seafood, three different carved meats and a variety of hot sides including sweet potato casserole, macaroni with five cheeses and chicken fingers with curly fries for young guests. Adults dine for $74, while children 10 and under eat for $19. Reservations can be made online or over the phone.

English Ivy's

The St. Joseph neighborhood bar and eatery will offer its usual Sunday brunch menu on Easter, including build-your-own omelets ($12), chicken and waffles ($12) and other breakfast staples alongside several different drinks.

Gallery on 16th

Tickets to Gallery's Easter brunch ($55 for adults, $25 for children 12 and under) will get you one entrée, drip coffee and tea, family-style sides and access to a bottomless pastry bar. Tickets for two-hour reservations at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. can be made on Gallery's events page.

The Garrison at Fort Harrison State Park

The Garrison will offer an extensive Easter menu from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Breakfast options include an omelet station, a waffle station, scrambled eggs and vegetable frittatas. Diners can also sample from a carving station (prime rib and ham), salmon and swai (also known as basa) fish and fried chicken. There will be a salad bar and dessert table as well. Entry is $43 for adults and $18 for children ages 3-10. Reservations are required and can be made by calling (317) 638-6000.

Hollyhock Hill

The nearly century-old family restaurant will serve a three-course Easter dinner including salads and biscuits, fried chicken, ham, traditional sides and a slice of chocolate cake. Adults eat for $39.95, kids 12 and under for $19.95. Make reservations online or by phone.

Northside Social

The upscale Broad Ripple eatery will roll out a special brunch menu with American breakfast staples like biscuits and sausage gravy ($15) and a cheesy bacon omelet ($16) alongside gourmet twists like crab cake Benedict ($19). Diners can also enjoy a handful of lunch offerings, three desserts and a robust selection of mimosas and other drinks. Reservations can be made over the phone or on the restaurant's website.

Ocean Prime

Ocean Prime will serve brunch starting at 11 a.m. The single-page menu features mimosas and Bloody Marys to drink alongside entrees like lobster toast, smoked salmon latkes (potato pancakes) and New York strip steak and eggs. Reservations can be made over the phone or through OpenTable.

Sahm's Hospitality Group Restaurants

Sahm's Hospitality Group will offer an Easter brunch buffet at four of its Indianapolis-area eateries: Sahm's at Prairie View in Carmel, Rockstone and Big Lug Taproom in Fishers, The Roost in Nora and Half Liter BBQ in SoBro.
