Fishing is big business in North Carolina and the area has plenty of places to cast your line and catch the big one.

Before embarking on your next fishing adventure, you must first obtain a state fishing license through the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission at www.GoOutdoorsNorthCarolina.com.

Annual inland fishing licenses cost $25 for residents and $45 for nonresidents. Annual coastal recreational fishing licenses cost $16 for residents and $32 for nonresidents. Residents can get both licenses for a total of $41, according to the eRegulations website.
