Where Clemson baseball stands in latest NCAA Tournament bracket predictions

CLEMSON — After winning two of three against Georgia Tech, Clemson baseball continued its trajectory to host an NCAA Tournament regional.

The No. 4 Tigers (37-10, 17-7 ACC) have won seven of their eight conference series, including three consecutive series victories. They have the best overall record in the conference and lead the ACC's Atlantic Division by 2.5 games.

After falling short in its own regional last year, Clemson eyes the Super Regionals and College World Series for the first time since 2010. The Tigers are featured in the latest field of 64 projections by Baseball America and D1Baseball. Selection Monday, where the full field of 64 will be announced, is May 27 at noon ET.

Here's a look at where the Tigers sit in the postseason projections ahead of their road series against Wake Forest:

Baseball America's projection for Clemson

Like last week, Baseball America projects Clemson as a No. 3 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, hosting its own regional as a No. 1 seed. No. 2 seed UNC Wilmington, No. 3 seed UNC Greensboro and No. 4 seed Army would be part of the Clemson Regional this time.

D1Baseball's projection for Clemson

D1Baseball dropped Clemson to a No. 4 overall seed after having it as No. 3 overall last week. Kentucky and Tennessee are ahead of the Tigers, but they would still host its own regional as a No. 1 seed.

The Tigers' regional would include No. 2 seed Oregon, No. 3 seed Coastal Carolina and No. 4 seed Sacred Heart.
