‘Wheel of Fortune’ Fans, We Just Got a First Look at Ryan Seacrest as Host
Just days after news broke that Pat Sajak filmed his final episode hosting Wheel of Fortune, we now have a clue at what the show will look with Ryan Seacrest filling his spot.
When fans learned Pat planned to exit the hit game show after 41 years as host — with Ryan slated to replace him — back in June 2023, many were concerned about how the show would fare without him emceeing the series. Well, in a promo uploaded on YouTube on April 9, fans got to see Ryan in his newest TV role, with him walking around the iconic soundstage and being floored by the iconic wheel. As incoming co-star Vanna White appeared with his name flashing brightly on the puzzleboard, viewers were able to get a first taste of what's to come when the two star together on Wheel of Fortune.
"Ryan Seacrest joins Vanna White this fall on Wheel of Fortune," the words read over the 10-second clip. "New host, same place."
While it's currently unclear on Ryan's exact start date, it definitely is exciting to see him finally hit the Wheel of Fortune stage! What's more, this isn't the first time fans have seen Ryan and Vanna's dynamic come to play on TV lately.
For the April 8 episode of American Idol, Ryan surprised viewers with bringing Vanna onto the screen to help him introduce one of the performances that night. At the time, he shared photos of the moment on Instagram, while also teasing the two would be sharing the TV screen soon enough on Wheel of Fortune.
"The TV crossover you didn’t know you needed," he captioned a trio of behind-the-scenes photos. "Look out for the legendary @officialvannawhite on #americanidol tonight and catch a glimpse of wheely exciting things to come!"
After this, we seriously can't wait for the fall!
