'Wheel of Fortune' Contestant Brings Out Daughter Named After Vanna White on Stage

Vanna White

Watching Wheel of Fortune is a tradition for many people around the country—but for one family, the beloved game show has an even deeper meaning.

A contestant by the name of Greg Moss appeared on the Wednesday, May 1 episode, where he revealed that one of his children was actually named after the one and only, Vanna White.

While telling Pat Sajak about his family, Greg shared the 8-year-old's name, making the longtime host yell out, "Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa. Vanna?"

"Is she named after anyone in particular?" Sajak, 77, wondered, to which Moss replied, "Absolutely."

"It's not often you have somebody in your living room as much as you do Vanna White," Moss explained. "So it's a special part of our lives."

The cameras then panned to White, 67, standing on stage with Little Vanna, who looked overjoyed to be meeting the person who inspired her name.

Her dad also looked emotional over the special moment, while proudly smiling at his girl and giving her a wave from across the stage.

In a clip from backstage of the show, White could be seen sweetly embracing her namesake, while encouraging the young girl to "follow your dreams."

"Don't give up," she told her. "Whatever you believe in, it can happen."

Fans were practically welling up with tears over the wholesome moment, including an Instagram user who wrote, "How Special she will never forget that moment."

"So sweet. This just melted her father’s heart ❤️. Vanna is the best!" someone else wrote, while others applauded White for being "so warm and welcoming" to the child.

"I’m crying. So frickin’ special 😍" another viewer added.

"This was probably my favorite episode thus far!" somebody else wrote. "And then he wins in the end, just amazing."

Talk about an all-around unforgettable experience!
