What's with That? Woodford vs Old Forester mint juleps at the Kentucky Derby

Bourbon is the prime ingredient in the official drink of the Kentucky Derby, the mint julep.

Since 1999, Woodford Reserve has been the official bourbon of the Kentucky Derby but when you pick up a mint julep at the track in one of these collectible derby glasses, the bourbon is Old Forester.

Courier Journal reporter Kirby Adams sat down with Brown Forman Master Distiller Elizabeth McCall to get the answer.
