GRAND CHUTE - Rue21 has filed for bankruptcy for a third time, resulting in the closure of all its stores, including the one located in Fox River Mall, 4301 W. Wisconsin Ave.

Earlier this month, Reuters reported that the clothing retailer, targeted for teens and young adults, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, seeking to shut down all 540 of its locations and sell its properties.

It previously filed for bankruptcy in both 2003 and 2017. The 2017 bankruptcy resulted in about 400 locations closing, allowing the retailer to cut down $700 million of its debt.
