"The response has been amazing. Having healthy food options alongside sweet treats is really taking off," Treasure Box owner Langdon McComas said. "The real fruit smoothies and salad cups are getting great feedback while the ice cream and milkshakes are a hit with kids. The support from the community by and large has been wonderful. Soon we’ll introduce products from local sourced vendors as well. Things are just going up from here."

Treasure Box will post its daily grab & go options on social media, where the full menu also is available.

Pickled pizza

If Peter Piper were around today, he'd have probably preferred to pick a peck of pickled pizzas.

Pizza Joe's would take care of him, with the regional chain announcing last week the return of its pickle pizzas − in Real Dill and Chicken Dill-ight varieties − plus Pickle Stix, a new version of the pizzerias' trademark dip-n-stix adorned with pickles.

The pickle pizzas will be on the menu into September.
