WFISD announces latest round of coaching hires for new high schools
Wichita Falls ISD announced its latest round of coaching hires for the new Memorial and Legacy high school campuses set to open in August.
Among the hires were head soccer, basketball, cheer, dance and tennis coaches.
Legacy picked up four current coaches from Rider and two from Hirschi. Coming from Hirschi are head boys basketball coach Trey Law and head tennis coach Lee Gregg.
From Rider, Legacy added current Rider assistant Zach Davis to lead the girls basketball program, head soccer coaches Dustin Holly (boys) and Carl Wiersema (girls) along with head dance coach Brinlee Yates.

Legacy is still looking for a head cheer coach.
Current WFHS head boys basketball coach and Hirschi head girls basketball coach are headed to Memorial in the same positions. Also taking on the same roles at Memorial is current Hirschi head boys soccer coach Adam Jackson and WFHS head girls soccer coach Rob Woodard.
Joining the Memorial staff from outside the district as head cheer coach is Danlee Duncan, who is currently at Quanah. Faith Patterson will be the Mavericks’ head dance coach.
Memorial is still looking for a head tennis coach.
