A Western Washington Medical Group expansion has brought a specialty clinic to Bellingham.

The new office offers pulmonary and cardiology services for Whatcom residents. It opened Sept. 12 at 470A Birchwood Ave.

Physicians at the clinic specialize in diseases of the heart and lungs. These include congestive heart failure, stroke, asthma, lung cancer, chronic cough and many more, according to a new release by the company.

“As a trusted local healthcare company, we are committed to providing state-of-the-art, evidence-based healthcare that is both cost-effective and personalized for our patients,” said the company’s Chief Operating Officer Joe Smecker in a news release.

Clinics are locally owned by the providers who staff them, according to the news release. The company also has clinics and providers in Snohomish, Island and Skagit counties.

The medical group was originally founded in Everett in 1993. According to the company website, all health care providers are board certified or eligible.

Patients can be referred to the clinic by their primary care provider or can call the office directly for appointments. Cardiology can be reached at 425-225-2700 and pulmonology at 425-252-1116.
