Who Went Home and Who Made It Through Night 3 on 'The Voice' Knockout Rounds

Noah Spencer, Huntley, Claudia B

The third night of The Voice season 24 three-way Knockouts had some of the best performances of the season and there was a whole lot of Stealing and Saving going on as coaches John Legend, Gwen Stefani, Reba McEntire and Niall Horan competed to get the best artists possible on their teams.

Mega Mentor Wynonna Judd was back to help the coaches prepare their artists. This year’s Knockouts are three-ways with each of the artists picking their own songs. Then each coach can only put through one of their artists. That said, they each have a Steal and a Save.

But they’ve been using them. John entered the third night with both his Save and Steal intact. Gwen had used her save for RUDI. Niall used his Steal to move Mara Justine from Team Legend to Team Niall. And Reba had used her Save for Tom Nitti.

The winners of the Knockout Rounds will move on to the Playoffs.

Here is how the night broke down:

Knockout Round No. 1: Deejay Young vs Lila Ford vs Stee from Team Legend

Songs:

Deejay: “Breakin’ My Heart (Pretty Brown Eyes)” by Mint Condition
Lila: “Fire and Rain” by James Taylor
Stee:
“Pretty Wings” by Maxwell

Winner: Lila Ford

John said: “All the coaches are salivating over Lila. Everybody wants to hear a Lila record. She’s so musical, so creative, so artistic. She needs to keep going in this competition.”

Steal: Stee

Gwen said: “Stee is just a flawless singer. I’ve wanted him since the Blinds. He just exudes this amazing positivity and joy. Somebody tell me what’s going on because there’s no way that I have Stee on my team and I do. My team is shaping up to be incredible. I love each of them.”

Knockout Round No. 2: BIAS vs Jason Arcilla vs Jenna Marquis from Team Gwen

Songs:

Bias: “You Probably Should Leave” by Chris Stapleton
Jason:
It was edited out
Jenna: Also, didn’t air

Winner: BIAS

Gwen said: “It’s rare to have someone who has this It factor. Your vocal is so great, you don’t even pay attention to it. You’re paying attention to you and that’s what an artist is. What I like about BIAS’ voice is he has this soulful quality to it, he can do runs, he’s country and he surprises me with some of the choices that he makes."

Knockout Round No. 3: Claudia B vs Huntley vs Noah Spencer from Team Niall

Songs:

Claudia: “You Don’t Know Why” by Norah Jones
Huntley:
“Wanted Dead or Alive” by Bon Jovi
Noah:
“Where Rainbows Never Die” by The SteelDrivers

Winner: Huntley

Niall said: “I never sweated so much in my life. It was a tough decision. I chose Huntley because he is consistent. He rips the roof off the place every single time. I think for the Playoffs, we’re going to need to get this roof enforced.”

Save: Claudia B

Both Niall and John hit their buttons – Niall to Save Claudia and John to Steal. Claudia chose to stay with Niall because she hadn’t had enough time working with him yet. He stole her from John in week 5 of the Battles.

Niall said: “When I heard Claudia play the piano the way she did, and sing so beautifully, I had to press my button and save her. So, Johnny boy, you should never have let her go in the Battles.”

Steal: Noah Spencer

Both Reba and John pressed their Steal buttons for Noah, but he chose Reba.

Reba said: “Noah, I wanted you from the very beginning. I love your country style of singing. I love the gravel in your voice. I wanted to Steal Noah because he fits my team really well. I don’t think we’ve touched on a fourth of his talent yet. I can’t wait to see what he’s going to sing next."

Knockout Round No. 4: Ruby Leigh vs. Ms. Monét vs Rachele Nguyen from Team Reba

Songs:

Ms. Monét: “Best of My Love” by The Emotions
Rachele Nguyen:
“Die From a Broken Heart” by Maddie & Tae
Ruby Leigh:
“Blue” by LeAnn Rimes

Winner: Ruby Leigh

Reba said: “Ruby reminds me of old country. We need that tone, that yodel, that country feel. You took all the notes that Wynonna and I gave you and you used them.”

Knockout Round No. 5: Kristen Brown vs. CORii vs Kara Tenae from Team Gwen

Songs:

CORii: “Ain’t It Fun” by Paramore
Kara:
“Leave (Get Out)” by JoJo
Kristen:
“This One’s For the Girls” by Martina McBride

Winner: Kara Tenae

Gwen said: “Kara really rose to the occasion. She was so swaggy and had so much attitude. The way that she delivered the lyric just felt so believable.”

Steal: Kristen Brown

John said: “I finally used my Steal on Kristen. She’s been so good through all the rounds of the competition. I know she’s going to do well in the future. Reba better watch out. I’ve got a country artist on my team and she’s good.”

The Knockouts will continue tomorrow night on The Voice at 9 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
